So Happy Together

Thanksgiving is almost here. We are thankful for each other.

Colin is such a poser.

Boys that play together make a huge mess together.

Yes, that is a Dora book. So what?

A Bunch Of Rowdy Boys Go To The Zoo

Another Saturday, another football game for Dad, another chance to round up the boys. On this glorious day we headed to the zoo.

It's like a law that when you see large odd objects you should take a picture with it, preferably sitting on it.

Sometimes you can't sit on it so you just do what you can.

Ok, this one is not nearly as cool. Luckily I am cool as ice.

I have a good time pretty much anywhere. And watching Grady is always a good time.

Who do you think would win in a relay race between these two dudes and us?

Tigers and Monkeys and Mommies

This year Dad was out of town for Halloween, so we headed to Grandma and Granpa's house. Aren't we spooky?

It was pretty awesome to hang out with all our cousins and we got to help carve another pumpkin.

And we got to play mummy.

It was awesome.

Align CenterThese are the kinds of things you only get to do at Grandma's house.

Luke and me are cool dudes.

What, you didn't think I would go anywhere without my monkeys did you?

I don't know why Grandpa Danny doesn't look more scared. He must not have realized we were supposed to be a scary tiger and monkey.

There's Grandma passing out candy.

Do these costumes make us look fat?

Just Some Stuff We Been Doin

When I'm at home I'm with my monkees.

When it's bedtime I brush my teeth.

Or maybe I brush my teeth and comb my hair. Skills.

Mommy gave me and Grady pointer toes. Weird.

I like to do work. When we took the baby gate down I took it upon myself to sand the wall...

...get the paint ready...

...and paint the wall so it looked great.

Some of you are probably starting to think about what you should get me for Christmas.

The Carve '09

Dad's college bed sheets are pretty much the best thing we own. Because we get to make all the messes on them we want.

Scoop those guts Mommy!

What do you expect? It's Halloween. It's scary.

And to the porch we go for the lighting ceremony.

Design by Grady.

Pumpkin Hunting

A rare shot of all of us. Crazy. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. Sure, we look satisfied to have picked out some great pumpkins. But it's a process...

First is the initial scramble. When you get there you immediately run to the pile of "good" pumpkins. Even though all these are great pumpkins, clearly we still head to the field to sort through all the rotten ones.

After we've decided to not get any of the good pumpkins up front, you survey the land. You know, what's out here? What all exactly can we do?

And that's when you go check and see how much taller you are than the year before.

Of course there are tender moments to be shared with the chickens.

Then you head to the field. On a cold day you gots to have your mittens right.

It's important to get a big one. But not too big.

Maybe this one will do...nah.

Keep looking. Don't ever stop looking.

Finally you find one, and you sit next to it and reflect on a successful day.

Then obviously you pick out another one. You know there are two of us.

Before you go you act like a carny posing with things like this.

And there you have it, a successful pumpkin hunt.

Fancy Sweaters

Twice a year they take our pictures at school. You would think with a look like this they would want to do it even more often than that.

We call this the teapot.

You know I'm four now, so this really isn't even all that interesting to me anymore.

Colin is not tired of it, in fact he seemed a little depressed Dad wasn't taking any pictures of him.

But oh boy was excited the next day when it was his picture day.

It's like he thinks he should be in magazines. Always smiling. When he's four he'll get it.

For now though it's all about fancy shoes and designer jeans.

Hey Dad, get one of my funny face.

Now my serious face.

Now take one like you just saw me walking by and I paused for a quick photo op.

It just looks like we have fun, really, we're the most miserable boys in the world.
