Back From The Grandparents

This past weekend we had a big time. I took my first trip to both grandparents' houses and met lots of family. We tried to get some pictures up Sunday night when we got back but were too tired. The weekend started Friday night at Grandma Ginny and Grandpa Steve's house. Turns out they didn't know we were coming that night so we surprised them. Grandpa finally read me the book he bought me a long time ago. He claimed that I payed attention, but this picture proves otherwise.

Four generations were there including my Great Grandma Mildred, Grandma Ginny, my dad and me.

We spent Sunday and Grandma Cheri and Papa Danny's where I met my four cousins for the first time. That's Jacob holding me with Luke and Lauren on the couch, and Lexi behind the couch.

Today's My Due Date, But I'm Already Here

Today is the day I was supposed to be born according to my due date, but I will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. We took a walk as a family tonight for the second day in a row. I like to ride in the stroller. I also like to cry most every night sometime between 9 and 11. Daddy thought he had me figured out but I proved him wrong - and Mommy right. This weekend I am going to get to meet a lot of my family and I'm excited about that.

Mommy tried to take some naked pictures of me. You can see what I thought of that. Thank goodness for Daddy because I don't think he will let the others see the light of day.

Daddy is always trying to take pictures of me when I stretch my legs out.

Back from my second walk in the stroller.

10 Days Old And I'm A Big Boy

First and foremost, I am 10 days old which is exciting. I celebrated by losing my umbilical cord stump thingy and then wearing big boy clothes. As you can see, I wore my football shirt and my new pants.

Papa Danny played with me all afternoon -- and by played I mean that I slept on his lap.

Before Papa Danny and Grandma Cheri left, we took a delightful photo in front of the fireplace.

Sept. 18 was also a big day because I met my new friend Colton who was born just two days after me. Quite obviously, I am much smaller than Colton. Nice camera work Dad -- maybe get us in the photo next time!

Out On The Town

Today was a big day. I had my first doctor visit and found out that I now weight 6 pounds, 13 ounces and am 20 inches long. It was the first day since I've been home that I left the house. We also went into Lawrence twice. I got to visit Allen Fieldhouse and saw the people Dad works with. We finished off the night by having dinner at Mason and Amy's, where I spent most of my time sleeping. Overall, it was a fun day.

I'm A Week Old

I try to be awake a few hours a day and usually try to get some stretching in.

Sleeping with daddy is fun.

I was 19 inches long when I was born, but as you can see I am pretty long. And those toes, look at those toes.

Me again, with my eyes wide open, just relaxing.

Hanging Out At Home

I posed for this handsome shot right after my bath when I was 6 days old. Mommy says it's the best picture of me so far.

Bathtime is one of my favorite times.

Here I am sitting on Papa Danny's lap showing off my long legs and big feet. Everybody gets a kick out of these.

Sleeping is another one of my favorite things to do, but only in the day time.

My Grandparents Love Me

Grandma Cheri couldn't wait to see me after I was born. She kept trying to poke her head in the door. She came home from the hospital with me first.

My Grandma Ginny and I had a lot of fun when she stayed with me almost a whole week at home. Here she is reading my first book with me.

These next two are of me with my Grandpas. The first one is my Grandpa White. Word on the street is that he has bragged to every single person in his school about me. The next one is Papa Danny, as my cousins call him.

More pictures of me.

I had a great time in the hospital. Everybody thought I was cute and the nurses called me "content."
