Pumpkin Hunting

A rare shot of all of us. Crazy. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. Sure, we look satisfied to have picked out some great pumpkins. But it's a process...

First is the initial scramble. When you get there you immediately run to the pile of "good" pumpkins. Even though all these are great pumpkins, clearly we still head to the field to sort through all the rotten ones.

After we've decided to not get any of the good pumpkins up front, you survey the land. You know, what's out here? What all exactly can we do?

And that's when you go check and see how much taller you are than the year before.

Of course there are tender moments to be shared with the chickens.

Then you head to the field. On a cold day you gots to have your mittens right.

It's important to get a big one. But not too big.

Maybe this one will do...nah.

Keep looking. Don't ever stop looking.

Finally you find one, and you sit next to it and reflect on a successful day.

Then obviously you pick out another one. You know there are two of us.

Before you go you act like a carny posing with things like this.

And there you have it, a successful pumpkin hunt.

What a fun day you had looking for your pumpkins! Looks like a cold day! Good thing you had your new winter coats on! I can't believe how tall you both are! I love you both - Grandma Ginny
